A counter is one of the first things you'll want to place on your website, and there are hundreds to choose from. You can choose from thousands of unique designs, or go a more subtle route and hide your counter with a symbol. www.stats4all.com This is my absolute favourite counter service site, and with good reason. There is no counter displayed on your site, just a little baseball-like image you click to see the actual hit count. There are tons of statistics included with this counter, like daily and hourly average, geography and technology. There are dozens if not hundreds of places to get free polls on the Web, but I'll just list my favourites. www.sparklit.com This site is a nice place to get customizable polls that integrate nicely into your website design. Alxnet The unique feature of Alxnet polls are that the bar that shows the number of votes for each of your choices is customizable, you can have little smiley face creatures for example, not the boring solid bar you get with other polls! A guestbook can be a wonderful addition to any site, and it's always flattering to hear nice comments about your site! ^^ What you want written on yours can vary, but you should ask for a name, e-mail, URL and comment for sure. http://www.htmlgear.lycos.com/specs/guest.html A popular guestbook service, this one comes from the creators of Angelfire and Tripod. Customize the colours and fonts for a really nice guestbook that fits in well with yourwebsite. Dreambook This is another popular guestbook with standard features. I don't know exactly why I included this one, maybe because I like the name! ^^ Very dreamy! A cool or unusual font can be the one thing that sets one website apart from the others, and the best thing is that great fonts are so easy to find on the Net, and easy to install as well! http://www.fontalicious.com A great site with tons of whacky fonts like Astronaut and unique webdings-like fonts like Chickabiddies, with cute little faces for each letter!
